Overview
The Public Health Committee Plays A Key Role In Global Health Awareness By Empowering Dental Students Worldwide In Disease Prevention, Capacity Building, And Advocacy Through Public Health Toolkits, International Collaborations, And Evidence-based Global Surveys.
The committee advances policy awareness through strategic collaborations, including the Alliance for a Cavity-Free Future, working toward a healthier and more sustainable future for young dentists through evidence-based approaches. These efforts are further strengthened by policy training sessions aimed at building capacity, supporting professional development, and creating meaningful impact across the largest dental platforms and at a global scale with dental and non-dental associations.
Policies
The Public Health Committee is honored to serve as the voice of dental students worldwide through focus groups, international platforms, and surveys. It also actively contributes to many international projects as reviewing of the FDI Mental Health Massive Open Online Course 2026 and represents dental students at major international events, such as the FDI World Dental Congress 2025, by addressing mental health challenges faced by dental students.

Brief Introduction:
The public Health committee has a pivotal role in spreading awareness among all types of people globally, emphasizing the role of dental students all over the world in disease prevention & capacity building, updating them with the latest trends in dentistry through the public health toolkits, in addition to improving their skills to be great advocates for their universities & countries, collaborating with the most established international dental & non dental organizations for public health events.
Key Responsibilities:
Our responsibilities are focused on publishing public health toolkits, developing policy documents & organizing public health events especially on international days like WOHD, MCAM, AMRW & green dentistry to enrich the dental students with the skills & information they aspire to have..
Recent Projects:
Publishing a podcast with the mouth cancer foundation elect-president on the official IADS spotify account, starting an initiative about the mental health in dentistry, organizing an online awareness campaign for the universal health coverage in addition to taking part in the international Antimicrobial resistance youth summit

Students can take part in our public health events, youth summits & online campaigns.. All of these opportunities enhance your skills to be a qualified advocate for dental students all over the world & be aware of the recent public needs.

Public health committee always takes part in FDI contests especially for the World oral health day & have great collaborations with the green dentistry organizing associations in the last few years..
