Dear fellow IADS members

The International Association of Dental Students (www.iads-web. org) and the FDI World Dental Federation , the worldwide, authoritative and independent voice of the dental profession, are pleased to announce the Second annual World Oral Health Day to be celebrated on Saturday, 12^th of September.

The aim of this day is to increase awareness for oral health, as well as, the impact of oral diseases on general health, well-being and national economies.

the IADS members are invited to join us to support the idea around the world in honor of this day through a series of activities.

These activities include but not confined to:

• • • Promote the need of improving the awareness of oral health care among students and patients; through a series of lectures /seminars or printed posters and flyers given on that day to university students, workers or school students.

• • • Establishing Oral health care programs among the unprivileged populations in their country

• • • Developing an inclusive document on the negative consequences of various oral diseases that are to be supported by statistical results from their university
