How IADS fee system works? How much members have to pay?

Finally the voting for the ingenious new fairer fee system took place during the General Assemblies in Berlin. Discussions for the necessity of having a membership fee calculation system thought would make the value of the money paid in Norway similar to that paid in Kenya have been going on for many years, maybe even for more than I am aware of, but the basis for the new system was started with discussions between ex Treasurer Joern Wittig and Ex EDSA president Kimon Divaris in Slovenia MYM 2004.

The new fee system assigns a student factor according to the number of member students of each country according to the table below:

Number of Students Student Factor
0-100 0.5
101-250 0.75
251-750 1
751-1500 1.5
1501- 2

An income factor is assigned according to the Gross National Income of the respective country as shown in the table:

Gross National Income (GNI) Income Factor
0-500 0.5
501-1000 0.75
1001-5000 1
5001-10000 1.5
10001- 2

Then calculation for the required membership fee is calculated as follows:

Income Factor x Student Factor x Average fixed fee (100 Euros)

For example a country which has 600 students and has a GNI of 8,000 will be assigned a student factor of 1 and an income factor of 1.5. From the equation that country has to pay: 1.5 (income factor) X 1 (student factor) X 100 Euros (average fixed fee) = 150 Euros

A poorer with the same number of students, but with a GNI of 300 will have the same student factor i.e. 1, but 0.5 for the Income factor. From the equation again, that country will be required to pay a membership fee of 0.5 (income factor) X 1 (student factor) X 100 Euros (average fixed fee) = 50 Euros

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
