With 2 amazing meetings in Slovenia and Romania old friends were reunited and new friendships were made, with the infamous IADS spirit growing over the years, witnessing all the progress on the IADS level, with new members, new projects and above all the friendships that are made in IADS and will be appreciated and enjoyed for the rest of our lives, my 2009 seems too perfect and it all because of IADS.

I would like to thank all members for giving me the honor of being the IADS Secretary General for the year of office 2009/10 , hoping to meet your expectations ,I would also like to thank my colleagues in the executive committee that has always been an inspiration to me ,a challenge to keep up with their perseverance ,hard work and vision.

I sincerely wish us all a Merry Christmas full of joy and happiness, spent around those who never fail to make us smile; it is the time of dreams and hopes where everything seems to be possible and attainable, and may 2010 be kind to us and bring all our dreams to reality and May the IADS continue to prosper and always bring us together as one big international family.

Also my best wishes goes to the FDI as well as our friends at the YDW , APDSA,IFMSA AND EDSA ,may the coming year witness more cooperation between us .

"I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round, as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys." ~Charles Dickens

Dear IADS- friends and members all over the world,

It is not just the end of a year, it is the end of a whole decade and again I am sitting in front of my computer writing a message to all of you. The whole last decade of my life was related to dentistry and more than half of it I spent with IADS. It was one of the most important things that happened to me in the last 10 years and I am thankful and happy to know you all. The IADS- spirit was given to me mainly by some people who played important roles in this association like Mark Antal, Andrea Veitova and Ahmed Hawas who were always my inspiration, my advice and my friends that I respect and that I look up to. They were teaching me the main important ways of thinking- that we are only good together, that our friendship is keeping our work alive, that we have to respect each other as people, our religions and our different ways of thinking. I got to know far- away places in the world, I am linked to people in all continents and I always had the feeling of being part in something bigger and important. I have learned that without the associations who work with us- FDI, YDW, APDSA, EDSA, we could not bring our work on the same way and that communication is something we have to develop and constantly keeping up.

In the end of 2009 I am thankful for our members in Slovenia and Romania who made it possible for us to meet in their countries, to enjoy their way of living and for being able to explore their countries. It was a great duty but also a huge pleasure to chair the General Assemblies in these meetings. I am thankful for all new members who joined our association, for everyone who put their efforts in our work - thanks to all NEOs who do a great job in sharing our ideas in their countries.
It was a great pleasure to work as the Immediate Past President and in general being part of the EXCO for nearly 4 years. Thanks to my colleagues who work with me at the moment.

For all who celebrate christmas, I wish you a wonderful time with your family and friends. Enjoy the holidays and gain energy for the upcoming year. For 2010 I wish you faith, health, strenght and luck. IADS needs you all!

Wishing you all the best from Germany,

Julka

P.S. Special greetings to all my friends who I got to know trough this wonderful group!
