The 4th edition of the IADS Lecture Contest which took place during the IADS Midyear Meeting Russia 2011, brought together dental students from Europe, Asia and Africa. They had the chance to share the results of the achieved work, which was appreciated both by the Jury and the attendants.
In the afternoon of the 22nd day of February, students from more than 20 countries have gathered together in the marvelous auditorium of the Moscow State Medical and Stomatological University. The purpose was to listen and gain knowledge from the presentations of bright students who came to share the results of the managed research work. Professors from the local University honored us with their presence within the Jury.
All the participants have proved that their work is of a high scientific value and for which they should be congratulated. After more than 2 hours of very good presentations and questions answering, the Jury has decided upon the ones who to be granted with Winner positions.
The 3rd place at the IADS Lecture Contest Russia 2011 goes to Mr. Chandresh Shukla who represents the Peoples College of Dental Sciences and Research Center from India. He enlightened us with the great research work “COMPARISON OF MEAN SHEAR BOND STRENGTH OF THREE DIFFERENT BONDING AGENTS USED IN ORTHODONTIC AGENTS”.
The 2nd place was granted to Ms. Tatiana Vorovchenko - a dental student at Samara State Medical University (Russian Federation). She was highly appreciated for the research work “The Experimental Creation of Bioengineering Constructions and Combined Implants in Maxillo-Facial Surgery”.
The 1st place was won by Mr. Cristofor Casavela, who is a dental student at University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Victor Babes”, Timisoara (Romania). The research work “ An “in vitro” comparative study regarding the effect of ultrasounds on root canal preparation and apical sealing” was highly appreciated by the Jury and attendants.
