Dear Fellow IADS members,
Going through the history of the IADS has been such an interesting fulfilling experience, seeing how an idea of 6 students in 1951 grown to be what we have in 2011, with more than 200,000 members from around the world.
Seeing what had to be faced and challenges that were overcame, how many generations have struggled sometimes to ensure the future of IADS, connections and communication that was established between the 6 continents way before there was internet or even easy ways of communication that we have now.
A history that made me proud, inspired and grateful to all the previous generations that had worked, partied and cooperated to give us what we have now, feeling an even more responsibility to be able to continue what those IADS legends have started and always be sure that faces changes but what will always remain is the IADS spirit that kept it growing and growing .
The information here is clearly incomplete, but is as complete as our records allow and any member knowing any information that may be useful to this task , please pass it on so that we have the most comprehensive history on our association.
